Siem Reap II

Bayon temple is one temple that i liked very much. When i got down from the bus, i was awed by the majestic view.. maybe more so of the many faces... as you walked around the temple, climbing up and down, faces are everywhere... the feeling is really unique.

Bayon

The state temple of Jayavarman VII, it is extremely complex both in terms of its structure and its meaning, having passed through different religious phrases from Pantheon of the Gods, Hindu and Buddhism. It uses a mass of face-towers to create a stone mountain of ascending peaks. Most are carved with four faces on each cardinal point but sometimes there are only three.
